Description
Welcome to the Hunter 49! A comfortable, cavernous cruiser that caters to those considering carving crests of waves and criss crossing continuously across the C. But all alliteration aside, when Glenn Henderson sat down to design the 49, he was aiming for a passagemaker. For this reason you'll find large tankage, ample stowage, heavy displacement and an easy to handle sailplan. All of which lend themselves well to the task at hand.
Few builders produced boats as spacious as the later generation Hunters as well. With three nicely sized cabins, your guests won't feel cramped during their stay. And with nearly 7' headroom in the saloon, you can even invite your tall friends.
When the Hunter 49 was initially released, it represented an exceptional value for a cruiser of its size and capability. That still holds true today. Come see just how much boat you can get with your hard earned dollar, and may you too can Slip Aweigh.
