A fast cruiser suiting the sailor with aspirations to sail fast but in true superyacht comfort. Shipman 72 CAIAROSSA has recently had every system checked, renewed or overhauled. With her all carbon composite hull, carbon deck and rig this Shipman 72 is a sailors dream! She’s fast but at the same time very stiff thanks to a deep keel (4 metres down/2.6m keel up) and twin rudder setup.
On deck there are some excellent user friendly design features which really help you operate this 72ft bluewater cruiser with ease and minimal crew. All control lines lead aft to the twin helm stations. Powerful hydraulic winches also make light work of sailing manoeuvres in the spacious cockpit. All of the performance sails are in excellent condition and there is a New furling ‘Code Zero’ which is a joy and provides that added power and performance in light winds. If wished, asymmetric spinnakers can be sailed with ease from the telescopic pole which neatly tucks away within the bow. Again, ideal for those looking to sail short handed yet really enjoy fast and rewarding cruising sailing.
On anchor Cairossa also comes into her own. Fold down the aft garage door and you have a very large teak decked swim platform which kisses the water. From here you can cool off and hang out or launch the New Highfield aluminium tender with ease. A unique and excellent feature on this Shipman yacht for sale is the hydraulic fold-out passarelle which also creates a very useful transom bench across the back of the cockpit whilst doubling up as fun diving board!
Below decks, CAIAROSSA has 3 dedicated guest cabins (sleeping six in total) and a crew cabin in the bow (sleeping 2). The large and spacious owners cabin forward has a super king size bed, large sofa to starboard and a good sized desk/vanity table. Forward is the large owners bathroom with walk-in wet room, washbasin and WC. The master cabin has particularly good storage for those looking to stay onboard for prolonged periods.
Aft of the central saloon and galley are two twin bed guest cabins either side of the companionway. Each of these twin cabins can be converted into a double bed if desired and each cabin has its own dedicated bathroom and separate shower stall. All cabins are well ventilated but also air conditioned with their own room thermostats.
The large and central saloon is a particularly welcoming and nice place to be should you wish to escape the sun or inclement weather outside. There is a large dining table to port with seating for 6-8 people. And the galley is opposite; which really emphasises how well suited this yacht is for family time, socialising and sharing your times onboard with friends and family. Throughout, the yachts interior is finished with a lovely warm natural teak wood finish on the floors and walls. Caiarossa has a timeless but contemporary feel throughout.
Shipman 72 ‘CAIAROSSA’ is in excellent condition throughout and very much ready to cruise. We recommend you view her at your earliest convenience as she wont disappoint. A new owner can take comfort that all engineering systems, mast, rigging and technical aspects of the yacht have been thoroughly overhauled to ensure the yacht is safe and has all systems operating smoothly and correctly.
