Description
Always very popular on the fast cruising catamarans market, this CATANA 50 built in 2011 was managed in charter from 2012 to 2016 by the company Dream YachtCharter in Martinique.
A complete refit was carried out during the first six months of 2017 to repair deficiencies after the charter business and complete its equipment so that it becomes a safe and comfortable boat for a great cruising offshore program. This program has been limited to a discovery of the West Indies, the USA and Atlantic Canada because it was interrupted by COVID 19, and a repatriation after the pandemic has allowed her to return to the Mediterranean.
A set of sails from 2017 including mainsail, solent and gennaker allow a rather dynamic navigation with perfect visibility thanks to the 2 helmstations on console at the back. The 2 daggerboards offer a very appreciable upwind.
LOUARN is a 4 double cabins version : the 2 aft with separate beds that can be converted into a double, and 2 in front, each with shower room. The salon is bright, treated in light wood, with a kitchen open on the cockpit very appreciable and very well equipped. It faces the real chart table, oriented to the front and a salon in L with its folding and telescopic table.
As far as equipement is concerned, she meets the needs of long cruising programs, with generator, watermaker, solar panels, fridge and freezer, ice maker and a complete electronics with irridium, etc. The 2 engines volvo 75 hp allow a reasonable consumption of 4,5L/H each at 7 knots.
In short, a unit that has lived but keeps all its potential for a new navigation program and a budget of the most reasonable !
