Description
General & Maintenance
This Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 409 from 2011, designed by Philippe Briand, is in technically excellent condition. The ship has been professionally maintained annually by the first owner. Recent preventive upgrades underline the condition: in 2024, the rudder bearings were renewed and the bimini was fitted with new windows. In 2025, the underwater hull received new antifouling, four new service batteries were installed, and the engine was serviced.
Rigging & Sailing Performance
The yacht is equipped for sporty performance. The sail wardrobe consists of a UK Tape Drive Carbon mainsail (in very good condition), a Dacron self-tacking jib, and a 120m² gennaker. The rigging and halyards are operated with Harken 46 Self-Tailing 2-speed winches. For optimal speed under motor and sail, the ship is equipped with a 3-blade Flex-o-fold folding propeller.
Navigation & Electronics
The navigation area and cockpit are equipped with a complete Raymarine network. The system includes an e7 HybridTouch chart plotter, ST70 displays, and an AIS transponder (transmit and receive). Notably, there is dual autopilot control (ST6002 & p70) that drives the SmartPilot. Communication is via a newly installed Raymarine Ray50 VHF radio from 2024.
Interior & Comfort
The layout includes three cabins and a wet cell, finished with teak interior and white synthetic leather upholstery. The forward cabin is equipped with an extra comfortable slatted bed system. For comfort in the pre- and post-season, a Webasto Airtop heating system has been installed. The galley is equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, and oven.
Propulsion
The propulsion is provided by a Yanmar 3JH5-CE-SD diesel engine (40 HP) with saildrive, which has approximately 1000 running hours.
