Owner's opinion
This boat was purchased new by an Englishman in 2011 and then resold to Dominique Wavre (Vendée Globe racer) in 2013 who is a friend. We bought it from Dominique in 2022, we changed the standing rigging and then reluctantly decided to sell it to an Irishman the same year for economic reasons. In 2024, I was looking for my new boat and came across this J which was still in Ireland. After reconstituting a nice wardrobe and replacing all the electronics, the 79-year-old owner felt too old to race and had just put it up for sale. I jumped on a plane to avoid seeing it sold to someone else. In 2025, we replaced the sail drive seal. Now it's my turn to feel a bit too old for this beautiful, high-performance racer that is so pleasant to steer.
