The Outremer 5X is the flagship of the Outremer shipyard, a model that fully embodies the brand's philosophy: performance at sea, safety, and autonomy for offshore navigation. Designed by the renowned naval architecture firm VPLP, globally recognized for its racing and cruising multihulls, the 5X combines advanced composite construction, structural lightness, and a powerful sail plan. Built in 2015, WILDLING perfectly reflects this DNA. Its structure incorporates several major carbon elements: rotating carbon mast, carbon roof, carbon bimini, and carbon structural bulkheads, contributing to the rigidity and lightness of the whole. The sail plan has recently been optimized with a set of Incidence sails installed in 2024, allowing full utilization of the carbon rig's potential. In the same spirit, the loops were replaced in 2024, ensuring a performance-oriented running rigging ready for many upcoming sails.

Navigation is assisted by a complete B&G electronic equipment, widely recognized in the world of offshore navigation for its precision and reliability. The autopilot motor was replaced in 2024, further enhancing peace of mind during long crossings or sailing with a reduced crew.

Energy autonomy has also been carefully considered. WILDLING has a solar capacity of 800 W of solar panels in total complemented by a Watt&Sea hydrogenerator in Race version. This efficient combination allows for abundant and silent energy production, particularly appreciated during long sails or extended stays at anchor.

Life on board benefits from a commendable level of comfort. The ergonomics of the cockpit and helm station also reflect the Outremer approach: functionality, safety, and efficiency under sail.

A recent tender from 2024 completes the boat's equipment, facilitating movement at anchor and coastal explorations.
