Hull, deck, and superstructure construction:

  • The innovative features of the Sense 55 include a wide beam, fin keel, and twin rudders, which help maximize space on the boat, reduce heeling, and improve handling.
  • Monolithic GRP hull with an integral molded grid structure that is bonded to the hull.
  • Longitudinal and transverse reinforcements efficiently distribute loads, producing a relatively light yet strong platform with good torsional rigidity for a wide and powerful hull.
  • The molded fiberglass deck is bonded and bolted to the hull with a solid wood rail that provides additional stiffness along the side deck.
  • Non-slip deck, providing excellent grip and a quality appearance.
  • Open stainless steel forward balcony.
  • Stainless steel stanchions on port and starboard.
  • Stainless steel side entry with double handrails on port and starboard.


Keel and rudder:

  • Cast iron fin keel with bulb that is bolted to the hull using substantial stainless steel keel bolts and backing plates, providing grounding resistance and a low center of gravity for stability.
  • Standard keel with a draft of 7’ 10”, offering excellent stability and performance against the wind.
  • Twin rudders mounted on robust shafts, improving grip and control at higher heel angles.
  • Rudder collectors and steering mechanisms maintained in July 2025.
