Description
High specification Beneteau Sense 51 sailing yacht for sale. Built in November 2017 (as a 2018 model and HIN number), and owned with great care since new, this yacht is well equipped for both day sails and also long-distance cruising. Offering great comfort, performance and safety, this modern high performance cruiser is equally happy going for weekend sails in local waters, or stretching its legs for offshore events such as the China Sea Race. No expense was spared in specifying this spacious sailing yacht, including optional equipment such as an ICOM SSB radio with Pactor 4 modem, B&G 4G Radar, Silent Wind turbine generator, solar panels, watermaker, and Code-0 rig and sail amongst an extensive sail wardrobe. This high level of equipment allows the yacht to be self-sufficient on longer journeys, whilst her sensible layout and smooth handling characteristics allow for easy sailing and enjoyment in single/short handed operations. The yacht has always been well cared for, and has enjoyed many recent upgrades (please refer below for greater detail).
With comfort in mind, the Sense 51's owner-centric design features a smooth flow of spaces between the large cockpit and spacious saloon (whereas these areas are two clearly separated areas in most sailing yachts). The Sense 51's saloon and cockpit are nearly at the same level, with large windows that open and a mere three steps going down/up the companionway. The saloon itself features a large dining table that converts into a bed, and television on a hi/low lift. In the well equipped galley, you'll find a gas stove/oven on a gimble, ample refrigeration, and even a dishwasher. At anchor, the hydraulic swim platform and BBQ plancha turn the aft area of the yacht into a fun and welcoming space for entertaining family and friends.
For overnight trips, this elegant sailing yacht sleeps 6 in the standard configuration (3 cabins, 2 ensuite heads), which increases to 8 people with the convertible saloon. The forward master cabin is spacious with a luxurious ensuite bathroom, and the second double cabin lies to port between the master cabin and saloon. The third cabin (to starboard) features bunk beds and good storage. A further optional Skipper's bunk is accessible via the port-side cockpit hatch. Sleeping temperatures will be comfortable in any climate, as this yacht is equipped with a 6kva generator and 24,000 BTU reverse cycle air-conditioning.
**For use in Hong Kong, this yacht falls under a Grade 2 operator's license.**
Note: Not included with sale, but the Aberdeen swing mooring the yacht lies on was completely replaced in ~2024 and the water & electricity to the mooring replaced in 2025.
