Aqua Nautics Water Maker 

(has been used all summer.  Boat has not needed to take water @ pier since started cruising in June.  Being 110 ltrs/h it fills the water tank very quickly, so there are minimal worries about water usage having showers etc. Also very simple, straight forward and easy to use. The water maker can be run off batteries with no need for engine running)

The 3kW inverter unit provides sufficient power for all AC usage on the boat, including appliances such as the air fryer, kettle, hairdryer, and others. The owner rarely uses the gas stove. The system is fully automatic; for example, when AC power is plugged in at a marina, the inverter automatically switches from inverter mode to switchover mode.

 

Having all the key electrical components from Victron ensures compatibility, seamless information flow, and effective control. Additionally, all information related to the electrical system and tank levels can be accessed remotely from anywhere in the world.  

 

Charging system outlining:

The basic function of the charging system is as follows: Solar panels charge the 24V DC system directly through a regulator. The engine is equipped with two alternators. One 24V alternator charges the main 24V system directly. The other alternator, which is 12V, initially charges the engine battery and the bow thruster batteries. Once these batteries are fully charged, this alternator begins to supply 24V to the main battery bank via 12V to 24V DC-DC chargers. 

In summary, the main batteries have three separate sources of charging. Additionally, there is a 24V-to-12V DC-DC charger installed to ensure the 12V system remains fully charged from all available sources, all above units are completely automatic and need no user input.   When engine running and solar panels exposed to a clear sunny day, charging power can reach up to more than 3KW.

The Timezero system is widely used by the commercial fishing industry as it is highly reliable.  As owners roots are from that industry this system was preferred as navigation system for the vessel.  It has comprehensive sailing boat features such as weather routing etc.    Additionally the system has extremely sophisticated anchor watch system (in addition to Njordlink), also viewable on mobile

It is likely to be listed by most surveyors but is not structural or an integral working part of the vessel and is not to be used to further negotiate the price down after survey. We strongly suggest that for your own personal safety that when purchasing a yacht you provide new safety equipment rather than relying on second hand gear.

 

Should you become the new owner of this yacht then the responsibility to re-register or update official bodies for items such as EPIRB, VHF, MMSI or AIS becomes yours.

Comments

This Dufour 460 GL stands out with its extensive list of recent upgrades and installations, ensuring comfort, and autonomy at sea. The integration of advanced electrical systems and navigation electronics makes it ideal for both offshore passages and coastal cruising. The addition of modern amenities such as Starlink, and state of the art electronics.    Multiple charging solutions further enhances the onboard experience.

 

Known issues/improvements to be corrected before 2026 season:

Removal and reinstallation of hinges for swim platform as there is tiny leak at times along fastening screws.

 

New seacock to be installed for water maker (currently inlet of seawater is connected to engine seawater intake as it was installed while boat was on water)

New and longer chain to be installed.

 

Bimini has been taken in for service for cleaning, minor fixes and storage overwinter.

 

Sails are being inspected, cleaned, serviced and stored at AP sails in Preveza.
