Jeanneau 51

We are selling our beloved Wolkenschlößchen, a Jeanneau Yachts 51, with which we have fulfilled our dream of sailing around the Mediterranean, across the Atlantic and around the Caribbean with our 2-year-old daughter. We love this wonderful boat, but won't be able to use it as much when we go back to work. It belongs in the hands of long-distance offshore cruisers/liveaboards, as it is too intensively equipped for the occasional vacation.

So if you're looking for a modern boat that you can sail off with straight away (!) and which is really equipped for everything (a lot of equipment still within warranty time) then you've come to the right place. Wolkenschlößchen indeed does have everything you need and we are happy to sell her with our complete equipment. She is ideal for families and/or for sailors who are expecting visitors or want to offer (luxury) charters.

Wolkenschlößchen is registered in Germany, EU VAT tax is paid. 

What makes her special:
It's practically new - the local dealers here think we're crazy to sell it. The cockpit area is huge, about 1/3 of the entire boat. It is also extremely safe and fast. We were the 7th boat in the top group at the ARC with all the super yachts with professional crews - with conservative sailing (see daughter). With the in-mast furling system, you can easily reef and you do not need to leave the cockpit for any usual sailing maneuvers. Handling Wolkenschlößchen with 2 persons or even alone is super easy. The saloon is extremely comfortable and beautiful, and really seaworthy thanks to sufficient handholds. We made a very special bimini that can be completely closed on the sides in seconds so that no wind or water can get in and nobody can fall out. The rear of the boat is also closed. It is therefore as safe as a center cockpit boat, only with twice as large cockpit area. According to the ARC safety check, this is the best bimini they have ever seen on a production boat.

The Jeanneau Yachts 51 is the smallest boat in the Jeanneau Yachts series, which is considerably more stable and built with more expensive technology than the usual Jeanneau boats. It is effectively Jeanneau's small series. The quality starts with the stable hull, non-crunching floorboards, we have 3 electric Harken winches and a manual one and most equpment on deck is from Harken. Even with details such as the door hinges or the clock, they didn't skimp, but always reached for the more expensive shelf. The davids are retractable and can be easily taken away for longer passages.

Before departure, we equipped our Wolkenschlößchen extensively. This includes (all in 2023):

• 7 layers of Coppercoat (works great)
• new staysail as ‘flying jib’ with new furled system (April 2024)
• Raymarine Radar Quantum 2 with Scanstrut stand
• 55l water maker for 12V (new membrane will be installed in April 2024)
• over 1000W solar - so the boat is completely self-sufficient
• 600Ah LiFePo batteries
• 3000W inverter (there is also an 800W inverter for 2 sockets and a small one for the TV)
• Washer-dryer
• 189m² Oxley sail (optional extra)
• Furling system in the sail has been renewed
• The complete running rigging is new (sheets in April 24, furling system in July, halyards in November)
• New VHF radio with second station in the cockpit
• Spade anchor and 80m 12mm chain
• JonBuoy with AIS transmitter (optional extra)
• AirBuddy diving compressor (optional extra)
• StandUp Board (optional extra)
• Simarine monitor for batteries and tanks
• Starlink (optional extra)
• Life raft inspected and equipped for 7 adults offshore

and many more small and large details.

Wolkenschlößchen has already received new Axiom 9 displays from Raymarine in 2021, as the previously installed ones were impractical.

The ship is in excellent condition. Anything we notice, we always address immediately to avoid damage or problems.

We have arrived back in Hamburg in June and are happy to start showing her now. A transfer to another location can be organized for the buyer.
