A symbol of the new generation of Lagoons, the 40 is equipped with advanced special performance: a VPLP hull structure and an enlarged sail area provide a better sail area/displacement ratio. The choice to position the mast further aft offers this catamaran multiple advantages: A self-tacking jib for simplified maneuvers.
- A large foretriangle for a wider choice of downwind sails: a guarantee of performance.
- A shorter boom to facilitate maneuvers.
- A mainsail, with a high aspect ratio, that allows for better airflow in the upper parts of the sail for optimized performance.
- The recentering of weight, thanks to the aft positioning of the rigging, significantly reduces pitching.
