Nautor Swan 65

The Swan 65 is a particularly seductive modern performance cruiser featuring many ‘big boat’ features and accommodation which rivals larger yachts. Kimmora is an ‘Owner-Aft’ example which has been particularly highly specified, with keen attention to short-handed family sailing.

Featuring a Hall Spar carbon mast and carbon powered in-boom furling, sail handling is ‘push button’ and retractable bow and stern thrusters make maneuvering under power effortless. The sail plan is generous making for a powerful sailing performance and rewarding passage times. Like all latest Swans the rig is set back on the hull almost directly over the performance T keel to provide exceptional balance and the possibility for a number of foresail positions. Kimmora also features a generous sail wardrobe by North Sails – including some recent additions. EC6 carbon rigging further enhances performance and improves righting moment as well as stability at anchor.

The wow factor is certainly her open-plan and sociable saloon and forward galley with separate dinette/nav station and aft bar. The sumptuous aft owners cabin is spacious and private with a generous ensuite bathroom and copious storage. Two further ensuite guest cabins are forward with double and bunk berths respectively with one having direct access to the generous sail locker through a water-tight door. There is a practical utility cabin aft of the companionway housing laundry and tool stowage with space for hanging wet gear. Further sleeping space is available in the saloon and forward dinette, both with lowering tables and in-fill cushions. The interior is fully air-conditioned with separate diesel heating system for cold weather cruising.
