Owner's opinion
We ordered our Django 9.80 in December 2020, for a launch in April 2021. We found this boat to be the perfect compromise. Marine qualities and performance already recognized by all: very seaworthy boat, very safe, it accelerates at the slightest breeze, its preferred points of sail (mine too) being reaching under Code 0 and running under spinnaker, very good behavior when the wind and sea pick up. Equipped with a bi-keel, without loss of performance or stability, but which allows: navigation in shallow waters and access to ports with shallow depth (Vannes, La Rochelle Vieux Port, etc.) or with shallow access channels; very easy grounding, with notably beautiful stops in the port of Sauzon. The layout is simple but very well designed, practical at sea and comfortable at anchor: very well arranged kitchen, many large and accessible interior lockers, headroom (over 1.90m) very high for a 32/33 feet, and it remains high when going forward. We wanted a version with 3 cabins to allow us to welcome crew members. It is still quite possible to dedicate one of the two rear cabins to a technical storage, but we did not have to do so. The cockpit lockers are indeed very spacious, and they hold absolutely everything: dinghy, rear support, hoses, electrical cable, jerrycan, fenders, foresails (two spinnakers and a jib), secondary anchoring, mooring lines, etc. And there is still plenty of room for other equipment. The yard being very flexible, we were able to add a few small additional fittings like a handrail inside, all along the roof. Finally, we chose the 30hp version (instead of 20hp) which allows for safer maneuvers in strong winds, and a better cruising speed when the wind drops and you still want to make headway.
