Description
STEVE WONDER is hull #6 of the superb Pegasus 50. A brilliant design combining open-plan living with excellent cockpit protection, she is light in displacement and excels in light airs — sailing effortlessly while others are motoring.
Construction
RCD Status: The yacht conforms with the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25EC or RCDII (2013/53/EU as appropriate (Recreational Craft Directive) and is categorised A – “Ocean”
Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:
- Epoxy/Vinylester sandwich construction with carbon inner skin and glass fibre outer laminates, with a vacuum infusion process.
- Hull & deck sandwich construction with pvc core.
- Crash Box - Under anchor locker, filled with PU/epoxy foam; forward and aft bulkheads watertight.
- Deck Colour - Metallic red, premium PU paint with clear coat finish.
- Epoxy primer, antifouling + special propeller antifouling.
- Esthec synthetic teak on deck, folding bathing platform, cockpit sole and seating.
Keel & Rudder:
- Tandem keel, 4,645 kg with lead bulb (T-shaped; 37.76% ballast ratio).
- Twin balanced rudders, mechanically linked via gearbox and tie bar.

Tankage
Fuel:
- Diesel capacity 480 liters (106 gallons).
- 1 x stainless steel tank, 2mm thickness. Situated under saloon settee.
- Diesel tank ventilation in starboard rope storage locker for easy checks and prevention of fuel spillage.
- Two, redundant fuel filters with manual switch.
- Fuel level sensor on tank and level display on Simarine Pico.
- Fuel tank intake on deck to Starboard.
- Fuel vent to cockpit rope storage, accessible while filling to prevent spill.
- Fuel line to water heater with water separator filter with manual drain in starboard technical room with excellent access for control and cleaning.

Fresh Water:
- Integrated composite fresh water tanks (2 pieces) with slushing bulkheads, capacity 740 litres total, placed centrally in port and starboard cabins.
- Tank inspection cover for cleaning, 260mm diameter.
- Both tanks connected with cross line with separate closing valves (possibility to isolate tanks).
- Water intake gland, 50mm, on port side deck.
- Each tank has 25mm vent overboard.
- Electronic gauge meter on starboard tank with indicator at dashboard.
Grey/Blackwater Holding Tanks:
