Aluminium sailing yachts built under class-A (Ocean class). They are true "All-Weather-Go-Any-Where" cruisers. The Atlantic range of sailing yachts is designed by the Atlantic yard in collaboration with Dick Zaal. They are robust, have a long waterline, and are equipped with a swing or lifting keel system and double balanced rudders. This combination offers excellent sailing characteristics comparable to a fixed keel boat, with the added advantage that the draft can be adjusted. It also allows for grounding, sailing in shallower waters, entering tidal harbors later, and departing earlier. The Atlantics are very sailor-friendly due to a well-thought-out deck layout, allowing for hoisting, trimming, reefing, and striking sails to be done by one person. A deck layout for a cruising sailor who enjoys performance but wants to operate the vessel easily. Additionally, Atlantics offer a lot of built-in comfort, especially when it is most needed, namely "at sea." True comfort is not just about built-in appliances but primarily about well-thought-out ergonomics: sitting, working, and resting should be easy.
