Description

We are very proud to be CNB's exclusive dealer for residents of the UK and Andorra. We work closely and co-operatively with CNB and their appointed dealer network so if you are from another country with an appointed CNB dealer, we will happily make the introduction to the right person to help you understand the fantastic quality and capability of the CNB range.

Once again CNB has been working with Philippe Briand and Jean-Marc Piaton, this time to create a yacht which can be sailed in comfort by a couple. The result is the CNB 62, she builds on the success of the CNB Bordeaux 60 of which 46 were built.

The CNB DNA remains but has evolved very significantly. Great thought has been given to making the cockpit and sailing systems even better suited to safe and rewarding short-handed sailing. An arch with a German main keeps the cockpit clear whilst still enabling proper control of the mainsail. The helm positions are forward enough to greatly help protection from the elements and to ensure a close connection with guests in the cockpit area. The deck area behind the helms provides another large relaxation area and below the cockpit floor, Briand has created enough volume for a 2,85 metre RIB to be stored longitudinally for ease of launching and recovery. Of course, the garage door creates a spacious bathing platform.

The very comfortable owner’s suite is located forward with a centre-line bed and a generous bathroom. The saloon is bathed in natural light and has a superb galley which works equally well in harbour or on passage. The saloon enjoys almost 360-degree visibility and offers a seamless connection to the environment. Guest accommodation lies aft, the two cabins can be configured as doubles or twins and each has its own en-suite bathroom. Sailing performance is a given. A range of generous rigs is available with options for furling and easy handling whilst still getting the best from the modern Briand hull design. Machinery is centrally located under the saloon to ensure good weight distribution and excellent noise insulation.

Quality and execution are outstanding. We believe anyone looking for a yacht which is blue-water capable without needing crew should take a close look at the CNB 62. The fifth CNB 78 is being launched this summer. The 68 and 88 will follow - full details and plans of both are already available.

NOTABLE FEATURES

  • Designed to be easy to handle short-handed, the ergonomic cockpit has an arch to keep main-sheet out of the cockpit
  • The modern chined Briand hull design delivers performance and comfort both at anchor and crossing oceans
  • Wide range of rig options - carbon for ultimate performance or in-mast furling for even easier handling
  • Generous deck saloon, superb galley, centreline double suite forward for the owner and two excellent guest suites aft
  • Ergonomic cockpit, flush access to side decks and the generous guest and relaxation are forward of helms and sailing hardware
  • Proper garage with folding platform, will take a 2,85 metre RIB stored longitudinally for ease of launch and recovery
  • Superbly organised engineering. Central machinery space for balance and ease-of-maintenance
  • Fabulous level of interior finish and space utilisation, an outstanding contemporary design by Jean-Marc Piaton
